Uverse Privacy Policy: How We Handle Developer Data

Last updated: September 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Uverse (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit uverse.dev and join the Uverse waitlist. Uverse is an early browser-first game engine project. This site is used to share project information and collect waitlist signups.

1. Information we collect

When you visit this website, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to collect aggregated usage information. This may include:

Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to provide privacy-friendly, aggregated statistics. It does not create advertising profiles or track you across unrelated websites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics is disabled by default until you choose to accept it in the on-site consent prompt. You can change your choice later using Analytics settings in the site footer.

When you join the waitlist through the form on this website, we collect:

We do not ask for your name, postal address, payment details, or account password on this waitlist page.

2. How we use your information

We use waitlist information to:

We do not use the waitlist to sell personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated third-party advertising.

3. Legal Basis for Data Processing

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region with similar privacy laws:

4. How data is stored and processed

Waitlist submissions are sent to our server endpoint at /api/waitlist and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and the waitlist API runs as a Cloudflare Pages Function.

Cloudflare provides hosting and database infrastructure for this site. Their processing of data is governed by their own policies. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

5. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on this website. Analytics helps us understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and how the site performs for real users.

When you load a page, our site may request analytics configuration from our server and load a small JavaScript beacon from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com). That beacon sends aggregated visit and performance data to Cloudflare for reporting in our Cloudflare dashboard.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is intended to be privacy-friendly: it focuses on aggregated metrics, does not use third-party advertising cookies, and does not sell site analytics data for ad targeting. Depending on your browser settings and region, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address for a short period as part of delivering the service.

We use analytics only to improve this website and understand interest in Uverse. Visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland must opt in before analytics runs. For more detail, see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not use advertising pixels or marketing cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not rely on third-party advertising cookies to measure traffic on this site.

If you accept analytics in a region where consent is required, we store your choice locally in your browser (for example, in localStorage) so the site can remember whether analytics should be enabled on later visits. You can change that choice at any time through Analytics settings in the site footer.

Cloudflare may still use cookies or similar technologies for essential site delivery, security, caching, and performance as part of hosting this website through Cloudflare Pages. These are separate from analytics reporting and are governed by Cloudflare’s policies.

7. Data retention

We keep waitlist records for as long as needed to send relevant project updates, manage early access, and operate the waitlist. If you ask us to remove your email, we will delete it from the waitlist database unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, security, or compliance reasons.

8. How we protect data

Data Security and Infrastructure Standards

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for an early-stage project, including HTTPS, server-side validation, and infrastructure provided by Cloudflare. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we aim to handle waitlist data carefully and only for the purposes described here.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify that the request relates to your email address before making changes.

10. Third-party links

This site links to external services such as X at @uverse_dev, Instagram at @uverse_dev, and Discord at discord.gg/mjpEajNKC. After joining the waitlist, you may optionally open X to share a pre-filled post about Uverse; you can edit or cancel that post before anything is published. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information you provide to them directly.

11. Children

This waitlist is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to the waitlist, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

12. International visitors

If you access this site from outside the country where our infrastructure is operated, your information may be processed in locations where Cloudflare or its service providers operate data centers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the project and website evolve, for example if we add bot protection, accounts, email tooling, or new data collection. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
